Lieutenant-Colonel (LTC) Francis Yee took over from Colonel (COL) Allan Pang as Commander of the Combat Intelligence Group (CIG) at a change of command ceremony on 10 Nov.

Many CIG personnel were present at the event to bid farewell to their outgoing commander. Through a video clip, they also paid tribute to COL Pang's contributions to the CIG.

COL Pang became the first commander of CIG when it was officially inaugurated in July. Under his leadership, the first military intelligence battalion was inaugurated last year.

"A lot has been achieved but there's still a lot to be done," said COL Pang, "and I am handing over to a very capable commander."

New Commander of the CIG, LTC Yee said that the Army's intelligence transformation would be "an exciting journey", and that the CIG had a lot to contribute to the transformation of the third-generation Army.

"I hope to solicit the support of all members of the CIG to provide first-class intelligence support for the Army as we move towards the third-generation Army," said LTC Yee.
