US AIR FORCE CHIEF RECEIVES MILITARY AWARD

The Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force (USAF) General (GEN) Michael Moseley was conferred the Meritorious Service Medal (Military) by Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean on 10 Apr.
The award was presented in recognition of GEN Moseley's significant role in forging closer bilateral ties between the USAF and the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF).
Under his leadership, professional interactions - exercises, visits, seminars and courses - between both air forces have grown in scope and depth.
The RSAF has benefited from GEN Moseley's support for its training in the US, including the setting up of its F-15SG detachment at the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho.
RSAF chief awarded Legion of Merit
In a separate ceremony, GEN Moseley presented the US Legion of Merit (Degree of Commander) award to Singapore's Chief of Air Force Major-General (MG) Ng Chee Khern.
The award was presented in recognition of MG Ng's efforts in strengthening the close relationship between the USAF and the RSAF.
Previous recipients of this award include the former chiefs of Singapore s air force and navy, MG (NS) Lim Kim Choon and Rear-Admiral (NS) Ronnie Tay respectively.
