The Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), Major-General (MG) Pehin Haji Halbi bin Mohd Yussof, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean at the Ministry of Defence on 10 Nov.

During the farewell visit, which marked his departure from the RBAF, MG Pehin Halbi also called on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Desmond Kuek and inspected a Guard of Honour.

Under his leadership, the RBAF and the Singapore Armed Forces have strengthened their ties through various activities such as bilateral exercises. These interactions also enhanced the professionalism of the two armed forces.

MG Pehin Halbi was conferred Singapore's highest military award, the Darjah Utama Bakti Cemerlang (Tentera) [Distinguished Service Order (Military)], in November 2004, in recognition of the significant role he played in enhancing defence ties between the RBAF and the SAF.
