INDONESIAN ARMY CHIEF CALLS ON MINISTER TEO

Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army, General (GEN) Djoko Santoso, called on Minister for Defence, Mr Teo Chee Hean, on 25 Aug.
GEN Santoso is in Singapore for an introductory visit from 24 to 26 Aug.
While in Singapore, he also called on the Prime Minister, Mr Lee Hsien Loong, and the Chief of Defence Force, Lieutenant-General Ng Yat Chung.
The Indonesian Army and the Singapore Army have various extensive exchanges and exercises.
These include the recently concluded Exercise Chandrapura, which was jointly held between the Singapore Armed Forces' Commandos and Indonesia's Kopassus units.
GEN Santoso's visit underscores the warm defence relations between Singapore and Indonesia.
