Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Sergeant-Major Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Joseph Koa recently hosted a visit by his counterparts from the United States.

Senior Enlisted Advisor to Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, Sergeant-Major Bryan Battaglia, and Senior Enlisted Leader to Commander of Pacific Command, Command Master Chief Mark Rudes, were in Singapore for a working visit from 31 Jul to 3 Aug. They are the most senior non-commissioned officers in their units and act as advisors to their respective commanders.

They visited the Specialist and Warrant Officer Institute, Air Force Training Command and Maritime Training and Doctrine Command, where they saw how the SAF trained its soldiers, airmen and sailors. They were particularly impressed with the professionalism of the trainers and the creative use of technology in training.

During their stay in Singapore, the visitors also called on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General (LG) Ng Chee Meng and reaffirmed the warm ties between the SAF and the US Armed Forces.
