Admiral (ADM) Robert Willard, Commander of the United States Pacific Fleet (PACFLT), is in Singapore from 2 to 4 Dec for an introductory visit.

As part of his visit, ADM Willard called on Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean and Chief of Defence Force (LG) Lieutenant-General Desmond Kuek. He also called on Chief of Navy Rear-Admiral (RADM) Chew Men Leong and visited Tuas Naval Base.

ADM Willard's visit underscores the longstanding defence relationship between the Republic of Singapore Navy and PACFLT.

Both navies interact regularly through visits, exercises and professional exchanges. These activities have served to enhance interoperability between both navies and boost professional rapport between their personnel.
