US PACIFIC FLEET CHIEF VISITS S'PORE

Commander of the United States Pacific Fleet Admiral (ADM) Gary Roughead called on Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean on 13 Mar.
ADM Roughead was on an introductory visit to Singapore from 10 to 13 Mar.
The Republic of Singapore Navy and the US Pacific Fleet interact regularly through bilateral and multilateral exercises, professional dialogues, visits and cross-attachments.
Increasing in scope and complexity over the years, these interactions have enhanced the professionalism and interoperability between the two navies, as well as fostered friendship among their personnel.
While in Singapore, ADM Roughead also called on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Ng Yat Chung and Chief of Navy Rear-Admiral Ronnie Tay, and visited Changi Naval Base.
