THAI ARMY CHIEF VISITS S'PORE

General (GEN) Sonthi Boonyaratglin, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, is in Singapore for an introductory visit from 12 to 14 Jul.
On 13 Jul, GEN Sonthi called on Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean. GEN Sonthi also met Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General (LG) Ng Yat Chung.
GEN Sonthi's visit reflects the close, longstanding defence ties between Singapore and Thailand.
The armed forces of both countries also interact regularly through exercises, courses and other professional exchanges.
