SINGAPORE DEFENCE MINISTERS TOUR IMDEX SHIP DISPLAY

The 22 warships that were on display were from Australia, Bangladesh, China, France, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, the United Kingdom and the United States.
A number of foreign warships on show will be participating in the 2nd Western Pacific Naval Symposium (WPNS) Multilateral Sea Exercise held on 16 May. Besides the sea exercise, the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) will also be hosting the Multilateral Tactical Training Centre Exercise and Maritime Security Information Exchange Seminar.
Held in conjunction with IMDEX Asia 2007, these events will help develop professional capacity, enhance mutual understanding and strengthen interoperability among WPNS navies.
This is the sixth IMDEX Asia held in Singapore since its launch in 1997. A major international maritime defence show, IMDEX Asia is a biennial event which includes an exhibition and warship display.
