SECOND MINISTER FOR DEFENCE VISITS BRUNEI

Minister for Education and Second Minister for Defence Ng Eng Hen had an audience with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah at the Istana Nurul Iman, Brunei Darussalam on 7 Oct.
During his two-day visit, Dr Ng also met with His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince of Brunei Darussalam.
As part of the visit, hosted by the Deputy Minister of Defence, Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (Retired) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar, Dr Ng called on the Acting Minister of Education, Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohammad bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman.
This visit underscores Singapore's strong defence relations with Brunei. The Royal Brunei Armed Forces and the Singapore Armed Forces engage in a variety of bilateral exercises and interactions, which have enhanced the professionalism and ties between the armed forces of both countries.
