The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and the Indian Navy (IN) held a bilateral exercise off Visakhapatnam, India, from 28 Feb to 7 Mar.

In addition to the exercise, both navies signed a document containing standard operating procedures to be used as a guide for all future bilateral maritime exercises.

Both navies have been conducting bilateral exercises annually over the past 13 years.

Such exercises have grown in scope and complexity, from simple manoeuvres to advanced exercises held in air, surface and sub-surface dimensions.

During the recently concluded Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise, both navies had valuable professional interactions.

This exercise has helped to foster closer relations, mutual understanding and goodwill between the two navies.
