The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the Indian Air Force (IAF) are conducting a joint air exercise, code-named SINDEX.

F-16 aircraft of the RSAF, together with MiG-27 and Bison fighter aircraft of the IAF are taking part in the exercise, which is being held at the Air Force Station Kalaikunda in Kharagpur.

This year's exercise is the third in the series of exercises held between the two air forces.

Exercise SINDEX provides a valuable opportunity for both forces to learn from each other's operational philosophy and tactics, and also serves to enhance defence cooperation between Singapore and India.

The 22-day exercise will end on 30 Nov.
