S'PORE, AUSTRALIA HOLD JOINT MARITIME EXERCISE

The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) held a bilateral maritime exercise from 14 to 18 Jul.
Various conventional warfare manoeuvres, including maritime surveillance, air defence and anti-submarine warfare, were carried out by two RSN missile corvettes, as well as two guided missile frigates and a patrol craft from the RAN.
The Republic of Singapore Air Force's Fokker-50 Maritime Patrol Aircraft and the Royal Australian Air Force's P3C Orion Long-Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft provided anti-surface warfare support for the exercise.
Exercise Singaroo has strengthened the professional ties and enhanced mutual understanding and interoperability between the two navies.
