S'PORE, AUSTRALIA CONDUCT CBRE EXERCISE
02 Nov 2007
The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and Australian Defence Force (ADF) successfully conducted a bilateral Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosives (CBRE) exercise in Holsworthy Barracks, Sydney from 31 Oct to 1 Nov.
The annual exercise, in its fourth year, saw the SAF's CBRE Defence Group and the ADF's Incident Response Regiment responding to a clandestine laboratory suspected of manufacturing chemical and radiological devices.
Through the exercise, both armed forces enhanced and sharpened their preventive and response capabilities in working together to counter CBRE threats.
They shared operational knowledge and strengthened their close relationship and commitment to combating the proliferation of CBRE material.
