QATAR ARMED FORCES CHIEF OF STAFF'S FIRST VISIT

The Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces, Major-General (MG) Hamad bin Ali bin Hamad Al-Attiya, called on Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean at the Ministry of Defence on 27 Jun.
MG Hamad is on an introductory visit to Singapore from 24 to 30 Jun, at the invitation of Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General (LG) Ng Yat Chung.
MG Hamad will be visiting SAFTI Military Institute, Changi Naval Base and the Basic Military Training Centre.
His visit underscores the warm defence relations between Singapore and Qatar. Both armed forces have friendly interactions, with exchange of visits by their senior officers.
