NEW HELM AT RSAF PARTICIPATION COMMAND

Colonel (COL) Yeo Yee Peng took over as Commander of the Republic of Singapore Air Force's (RSAF's) Participation Command from Brigadier-General (BG) Wong Huat Sern in a change of command parade held at Chong Pang Camp on 5 May.
Prior to his latest appointment, COL Yeo was Commander of the Air Force Training Command, an appointment he assumed in July 2009. In August of that year, COL Yeo was awarded the Public Administration Medal - Bronze (Military).
His previous appointments include Commanding Officer (CO) of 143 Squadron (SQN) in Tengah Air Base, Branch Head in Air Operations Department and Deputy Base Commander of Paya Lebar Air Base. COL Yeo also previously a Group commander in Participation Command.
BG Wong, who joined the RSAF in 1981, was awarded the Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Scholarship in 1983.
During the course of his military career, BG Wong has held various appointments, such as CO 120SQN; Commander Sembawang Air Base, and Head Air Operations in Headquarters RSAF.
BG Wong also served two tours of duty in the Joint Operations Department (JOD), first as a branch head and later as a department head.
In August 2005, BG Wong was awarded the Public Administration Medal - Silver (Military).
The RSAF Participation Command was inaugurated in 2008. It is responsible to raise, train and sustain the individual components of air participation operations such as helicopters and divisional air defence, so as to achieve a high level of integration in air-land and air-sea operations.
