MINISTER IN BANDA ACEH FOR TSUNAMI COMMEMORATION CEREMONY

Representing the Government of Singapore, Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean attended a tsunami commemoration ceremony at Banda Aceh on 26th December.

Together with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Mr Teo visited the locations of the disaster sites after the ceremony.

Mr Teo also met up with members of the Singapore Contingent of the Aceh Monitoring Mission.

The memento presented to Singapore by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in appreciation of Singapore's support during the tsunami crisis.
