LAO DPM AND MINISTER OF NATIONAL DEFENCE CALLS ON DPM TEO

The Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Lieutenant-General (LG) Douangchay Phichit, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean at the Ministry of Defence on 7 Jun.
On the same day, he also visited Headquarters 2nd People's Defence Force and the Infantry Gunnery Tactical Simulator at Pasir Laba Camp.
LG Douangchay arrived in Singapore on 4 Jun to attend the 9th Shangri-La Dialogue over the weekend.
LG Douangchay's visit underscores the close defence relations between Singapore and Laos. Mr Teo met LG Douangchay in Laos last December when he attended the 25th Southeast Asian Games as President of the Singapore National Olympic Council.
