JOHOR SULTAN VISITS HQ COMMANDO

Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean hosted His Majesty Sultan Iskandar Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ismail, Sultan and Sovereign Ruler of the State and Territories of Johor Darul Ta'zim, to a visit to the Singapore Armed Forces' (SAF) HQ Commando (HQ CDO).
Accompanying Sultan Iskandar were the Tunku Mahkota of Johor His Royal Highness Tunku Ibrahim Ismail ibni Sultan Iskandar, and the Raja Muda of Johor His Royal Highness Tunku Ismail Ibrahim ibni Tunku Ibrahim Ismail, and other officials.
Sultan Iskandar reviewed a Guard of Honour at HQ CDO, and saw a demonstration of the Light Strike Vehicle (LSV). The Commandos also showcased their counter-terrorism capability to the visitors.
Tunku Ibrahim Ismail and Tunku Ismail Ibrahim also rode on the LSV.
Mr Teo presented Sultan Iskandar with the Honorary Master Parachutist Wing in recognition of his contribution to the fostering of closer ties between the Malaysian Armed Forces and the SAF.
Sultan Iskandar is in Singapore at the invitation of the National University of Singapore to accept an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Laws. He also visited the Urban Redevelopment Authority during his visit.
