INDONESIAN NAVY CHIEF OF STAFF CALLS ON DPM TEO

Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy Admiral (ADM) Agus Suhartono called on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean at the Ministry of Defence on 18 Feb.
ADM Suhartono is here on a three-day introductory visit till 19 Feb. During his visit, he will also call on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Desmond Kuek and Chief of Navy Rear-Admiral Chew Men Leong.
The visit underscores the longstanding defence relations between Singapore and Indonesia. Armed forces of the two countries share strong ties and interact through a broad spectrum of professional exchanges across the three Services.
In particular, the navies of both countries interact regularly through a wide range of activities which include exercises, visits, courses and professional exchanges. Such interactions have strengthened the friendship and mutual understanding between the two navies.
