INDONESIAN MILITARY CHIEF CALLS ON MINISTER

Air Chief Marshal (ACM) Djoko Suyanto, the new Commander-in-Chief of the Indonesian National Defence Force, called on Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean at the Ministry of Defence on 8 Mar.
ACM Suyanto, who recently took over command of the Indonesian National Defence Force from General Endriartono Sutarto, is on an introductory visit to Singapore from 7 to 9 Mar.
In his previous capacity as Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force, ACM Suyanto was conferred the Meritorious Service Medal (Military) for his contribution to strengthening defence ties between the Indonesian Air Force and the Republic of Singapore Air Force.
During his visit, ACM Suyanto also called on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General (LG) Ng Yat Chung and co-chaired with LG Ng an annual forum that seeks to achieve greater professional co-operation between the Indonesian National Defence Force and the Singapore Armed Forces.
