FORMER AIR FORCE CHIEF RECEIVES US AWARD

Former Chief of Air Force (CAF), Major-General (MG) (NS) Lim Kim Choon, was conferred the United States' Legion of Merit (Degree of Commander) by Commander of the Pacific Air Force, General Paul Hester on 11 Sep.

The award recognises MG (NS) Lim's efforts in strengthening the close relationship between the United States Air Force (USAF) and the Republic of Singapore Air Force, during his tenure as CAF from Apr 2001 to Mar 2006.

Previous recipients include Chief of Defence Force (CDF) Lieutenant-General (LG) Ng Yat Chung, former CDF LG (NS) Lim Chuan Poh, Chief of Navy Rear-Admiral Ronnie Tay, and former CAF MG (NS) Raymund Ng.
