DR NG VISITS SAF TROOPS IN GERMANY

Minister for Education and Second Minister for Defence, Dr Ng Eng Hen, who was in Germany from 28 Apr to 1 May, visited Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) troops on exercise in Bergen and witnessed a Leopard 2A4 Main Battle Tank live-firing exercise conducted by the Army.
On the second day of his visit, Dr Ng met German Defence Minister Dr Franz Josef Jung and the two discussed bilateral defence cooperation and various other issues of mutual interest.
The visit underscored excellent defence ties between Singapore and Germany. The two countries had signed a bilateral Defence Cooperation Agreement in September 2005.
