DR NG'S FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT TO BRUNEI

The visit is hosted by Brunei's Deputy Minister of Defence Pehin Datu Singamanteri Colonel (RET) Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yasmin bin Haji Umar.
Dr Ng had an audience with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah at the Istana Nurul Iman, on 7 Feb.
He also called on the Crown Prince of Brunei Darussalam, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, and Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Paduka Haji Awang Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Mohd Yusof.
Dr Ng's visit reflects the strong defence ties between Singapore and Brunei.
The armed forces of both countries participate regularly in a wide range of bilateral exercises and other professional interactions.
Such participation has enhanced the professionalism of the two armed forces as well as strengthened their relationship.
