DEFENCE MINISTER OBSERVES S'PORE, INDIAN LAND EXERCISE

Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean was in Devlali, India, on 17 Oct to observe a joint exercise by the Singapore and Indian armies.

Exercise Agni Warrior, an artillery live-firing exercise, runs from 15 Oct to 6 Nov.

By exercising together, the personnel from both armies will better understand each other s doctrines and tactics, enhance their interoperability and promote mutual understanding.

Mr Teo, who is in India on a four-day official visit, is scheduled to return to Singapore on 17 Oct.
