COMMANDER US PACIFIC COMMAND CALLS ON DEFENCE MINISTER

The Commander of the United States Pacific Command (US PACOM), Admiral (ADM) Timothy Keating, called on Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean on 26 Nov.

He also met with Acting Chief of Defence Force, Major-General Neo Kian Hong.

ADM Keating's visit underscores the excellent bilateral defence relationship between Singapore and the US. The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the US PACOM interact extensively through bilateral and multilateral exercises, visits and professional exchanges.

These interactions have enhanced interoperability between the two armed forces, and fostered professional rapport and mutual understanding between their personnel.
