COA MAKES INTRODUCTORY VISIT TO CHINA

Singapore's Chief of Army Major-General (MG) Desmond Kuek calling on China's Chief of General Staff General (GEN) Liang Guanglie (left and right in picture respectively) during his four-day introductory visit to China.
While in China, MG Kuek visited the 6th Armour Division in Beijing, and the 47th Group Army Headquarters in Xian.
MG Kuek's visit is the latest in an exchange of defence visits between the two countries, reflecting the warm and friendly ties between Singapore and China.
The last defence visit to China was made by Chief of Defence Force, Lieutenant-General Ng Yat Chung in Jul 2006.
MG Kuek returned to Singapore on 1 Feb.
