CHIEF OF STAFF, INDONESIAN AIR FORCE ON INTRODUCTORY VISIT

Air Chief Marshal (ACM) Herman Prayitno, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force, called on Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean at MINDEF this morning.
ACM Prayitno is in Singapore for an introductory visit from 24 to 26 May. He will also be visiting the Air Force School and Tengah Air Base.
Regular interactions between the Republic of Singapore Air Force and the Indonesian Air Force have enhanced the professionalism of both air forces and strengthened camaraderie between their officers and men. These interactions include the bilateral air exercise Elang Indopura, which was started over twenty years ago.
ACM Prayitno s visit affirms the longstanding friendship between the two air forces, and between the Singapore Armed Forces and the Indonesian National Defence Forces.
