CHIEF OF DEFENCE FORCE VISITS FRANCE

Chief of Defence Force, Lieutenant-General (LG) Ng Yat Chung, is in France for an introductory visit from 30 Aug to 3 Sep.
During his visit, LG Ng will call on his French counterpart, Chief of Defence Staff, General (GEN) Henri Bentegeat, and meet other senior defence and homeland security officials.
LG Ng will also visit the Republic of Singapore Air Force's Advanced Jet Training detachment, which was established in Cazaux Air Base in 1997 as part of the Singapore Armed Force's efforts to leverage on overseas facilities for realistic and challenging professional training.
Singapore and France enjoy good defence ties, with both armed forces engaged in broad-based co-operation in areas like policy dialogue, military exercises, defence technology collaboration and other professional interactions.
