Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean hosted His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah of Brunei for lunch at the Singapore Airshow on 21 Feb, where they also viewed an aerobatic display by the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF)'s Black Knights.

Sultan Bolkiah was received at the Changi Exhibition Centre by Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General (LG) Desmond Kuek, who accompanied him to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) exhibit, which showcased the integrated and networked systems capabilities of the SAF.

Singapore and Brunei enjoy a long history of close friendship and cooperation, notably between their armed forces. The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and SAF conduct a wide range of bilateral exercises and professional exchanges.
