AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE CHIEF CALLS ON MINISTER TEO

The Chief of the Australian Defence Force Air Chief Marshal (ACM) Allan Houston called on Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean at the Ministry of Defence on 11 Jan.
During his two-day introductory visit to Singapore, ACM Houston also called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Deputy Prime Minister and Co-ordinating Minister for National Security Professor S Jayakumar.
He also visited the Singapore Armed Forces' Centre for Military Experimentation.
Singapore and Australia have longstanding excellent defence relations. Both their armed forces interact regularly through bilateral and multilateral exercises, and exchange programmes.
