RECRUITS' RAVE

It's that one night where recruits are allowed to let their hair down (yes, we know they're botak!).

Raise your hands in the air: The atmosphere is electric as the recruits jump to the beat of the songs.

It's been a long day of training in Tekong. Post-dinner, you enter an air-conditioned auditorium… and let loose to an hour of live music and performance – welcome to Recruits' Night!

During the second-last week of their Basic Military Training (BMT), recruits are treated to an exciting concert specially put up by the Music and Drama Company (MDC) before their graduation parade the following week.

What do recruits think of MDC's performances? Watch what goes on at Recruits' Night!

What's Recruits' Night without shining the spotlight on the recruits? 88.3JIA DJ Jimmy Koh (in white shirt) inviting a recruit up on stage for the games segment.
Recruits putting their English proficiency to the test in one of the games segment where they were tasked to verbally edit sentences on screen. The segment was hosted by Jimmy (far right) and POWER 98 DJ Joanna Francois (far left).
MDC artistes performing "Warriors" – the 1st single of MDC's 50th commemorative album. Performed & written by artistes Dominic Chin (in grey jacket) & RINES, the song is a tribute to all who have served the nation with their blood, sweat & tears.

The night has just begun: Recruits cheering as the performance takes on a livelier beat.
The dancers are out! The atmosphere is charged as more and more recruits gather near the stage.
