LOCAL ARTISTES & INFLUENCERS BATTLE IT OUT IN NEW SAF VARIETY SERIES

The action-packed 13-part series, hosted by Paul Foster and former Miss World Singapore Laanya Ezra, will premiere on Channel 5 this Wednesday.

Watch celebrities take on actual Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) challenges – such as the gruelling Maritime Assault Course that elite naval divers go through – in this new series titled CAMOKAKIS: Whole Lot Fall In.

The series is hosted by veteran local actor Paul Foster and Miss World Singapore 2017 Laanya Ezra. They lead different teams of celebrity guests in each episode, and take each other on in challenges from the Army, Navy and Air Force.

These team-versus-team challenges include: completing a Bomb Suit Obstacle Course; going through G-Force endurance tests; and even taking on the Commandos' airborne training – which includes a freefall tandem jump from 10,000 feet in the air!

CAMOKAKIS: Whole Lot Fall In will premiere on 28 Sep and air every Wednesday night at 8pm on Channel 5.

The series features local celebrities taking on tasks and challenges in the three SAF Services.

Two years in the making

According to its hosts, CAMOKAKIS: Whole Lot Fall In took two years in the making. It was filmed through the COVID-19 pandemic and had to adhere to the strict safe management restrictions which were in place at the time.

The show has the celebrity guests going through rigorous training to prepare them for various challenges and tasks.

These tasks are anything but easy – the third episode puts the teams through the Human Training Centrifuge, which generates the gravitational forces (G-forces) that a military pilot endures during certain flight profiles.

The experience is not just physically strenuous: the strain which G-forces exert on the body can prevent sufficient oxygen from reaching the brain and potentially cause the person to pass out momentarily.

The celebrity guests are also put to the test in the Damage Control Training (Ep 4) – where they rush to fix leaks in a ship's cabin as water rushes in on them – and the Bomb Suit Obstacle Course (Ep 5), where they navigate obstacles and dispose of an "explosive" ordnance, while donning a 27kg suit.

The CAMOKAKIS: Whole Lot Fall In trailer shows a glimpse of how the artistes' teamwork, endurance and strength are put to the test during the challenges.

Featuring over 40 local celebrities & personalities

With different celebrity guests joining in for each challenge, the series sees over 40 artistes and influencers appear in its 13 episodes.

Ah Boys To Men actor Joshua Tan and presenter and actress Munah Bagharib join the first two episodes – Basic Soldering Skills (Ep 1) and Warfighting (Ep 2).

Other stars include fitness trainers and influencers Tiong Jia En and Tyen Rasif, actor Shawn Thia, and comedy content creator Haresh Tilani.

Episode 2 sees (from left) Laanya Ezra, Tiong Jia En, Joshua Tan, Paul Foster, Tyen Rasif and Munah Bagahrib fight it out in a test of their combat medic skills.

CAMOKAKIS: Whole Lot Fall In is produced by local media and entertainment company So Drama! Entertainment, and joins a year-long campaign to commemorate 55 years of National Service (NS55).

This included an NS55 Gallery at the Army Open House in May and the release of the Channel 8 drama, When Duty Calls 2, last month.

The series will also run online via meWATCH from 29 Sep.
