SPREADING JOY WITH MUSIC

Personnel from the Singapore Armed Forces Music and Drama Company (SAF MDC), SAF Band and SAF Provost Unit (SAFPU) came together to give a concert to the students of the Jurong Gardens School on 22 Jul.
Put up as a part of the President's Challenge 2005, this concert was just one of the activities that the SAF had carried out to help the less fortunate.
The Jurong Gardens School is a special school catering to the educational needs of more than 280 intellectually-challenged young children and teenagers between the ages of four and 18.
A cheque for $845,000 was presented by the SAF to President S R Nathan at an earlier date.
