In the spirit of the theme, “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!”, this year’s National Day Parade (NDP) Show segment promises to break boundaries with many parade firsts.

Watch the National Stadium transform into NDP 2026’s biggest performance space, offering a unique visual extravaganza to audiences both in the stands and at home, as authentic stories, innovative technology and a moving soundtrack form the backbone of the all-encompassing Show segment.

Over 2600 performers and 36 artistes – among them 24 first-timers – will come together to celebrate the diversity and unwavering spirit that have shaped our nation’s past, strengthened our present, and inspired us for the future.

Showcasing Singaporean spirit and talent

Colonel (COL) Wong Zeng Yu, Chairman Show Committee, hopes that Singaporeans will be inspired by the diverse range of performer at this year’s Show, in particular neurodiverse performers who highlight the role every Singaporean plays in contributing to our shared future, regardless of background and abilities.

COL Wong, 38, said: "In having performers from such diverse background and with such diverse abilities, we seek to tell inspiring stories of everyday Singaporeans that go beyond.

“We hope that through these stories, Singaporeans are inspired that as long as we stay together as one united people, we will have the confidence and strength to go beyond our limits together."

Back to direct the Show segment for the second time, Creative Director Brian Gothong Tan, 46, believes that the NDP is a good platform to highlight Singaporean talents from all walks of life.

“It’s important to create spaces for all these talents that we have in Singapore (and I feel that) NDP is good place to showcase some of the best unknown talents in Singapore,” he said.

The performance stage takes the shape of an arrow, symbolising Singapore’s unwavering drive to press forward and rise above all challenges. Six stage lifts and eight tunnel entrances and exits enable for faster transitions and more dynamic choreography.

A feast for the eyes

Love watching movies in IMAX? The National Stadium’s expansive vertical space provides opportunities for more immersive performances.

A dynamic aerial installation that is the canvas for projection mapping and immersive visual spectacles takes centrestage above the performance stage.

Measuring 46m long and 7m high, this aerial cuboid has a projection surface larger than four IMAX screens!

Five smaller cubes nestled within the cuboid will also rise and descend to create a floating illusion, adding movement and energy to the show.

The LED performance tower creates a bold canvas for multimedia storytelling.

A 7m-tall LED performance tower, another NDP first, allows performers to rise 10m above the show floor, giving the show a fresh visual dimension.

This year’s improved LED wristband system also transforms each wearer into a living pixel within a larger screen, making every audience member part of the images, motifs and texts that make up the Show experience.

A show for all Singaporeans

The parade transitions from the Parade & Ceremony segment, named Chapter 1: Go Beyond Self into the Show segment with Chapter 2: Go Beyond the Ordinary.

This chapter celebrates the Singapore spirit of going beyond the ordinary and features the People’s Parade with 18 thematically designed floats making their way in and around the National Stadium.

Multi-ethnic drummers will join Ms Daud, Ms Soma and Soka Gakkai performers for a collaborative rendition of Song for Singapore.

Chapter 3: Go Beyond Our Size takes on a grander and more reflective tone, beginning with a cinematic film exploring Singapore’s maritime heritage and connections.

Orang Laut singer Asnida Daud performs a powerful rendition of “Aok Diko” (“Yes, Of Course”), an Orang Laut dialect song about coastal identity. Singer Sushma Soma then takes to the stage with a Karnatik ode to the nation.

These mascots from various national campaigns will be making a cameo in Chapter 4! How many of them can you recognise?
Don’t miss the exciting performance by Music and Drama Company artistes as well!

If you’re a millennial or younger at heart, Chapter 4: Go Beyond Time might bring back memories!

This chapter celebrates Singapore's diverse culture through the shows and campaigns that have defined us since Independence. The NDP hosts transform into children in the 1960s in a short film about kampung-dwelling Singaporeans discovering watching television for the first time.

And don’t say we say one, but rumour has it that our nation’s favourite contractor will be making an appearance! Don’t pray pray ah!

Catch some of this year’s youngest performers in Chapter 5 as they bust out dance moves that will blow your mind!

Chapter 5: Go Beyond Our Limits zooms lightyears ahead with a futuristic twist. Electronic music artist Jasmine Sokko makes a grand entrance as she descends onstage accompanied by two aerialists, performing her NDP single “You’ll Be Okay” while suspended in the air.

Three hundred drones will execute a synchronized performance together with Ms Sokko and the aerialists 30m above the ground.

Classical musician Han Oh performs his track Zero G-Roll accompanied by seven dancers.

Aged eight to 29, this diverse group of performers spans across all races and champions neurodiversity with an autistic dancer and Ms Megan Tang, a dancer with Down Syndrome.

Ms Tang is excited for her first NDP performance: “It feels amazing to be on stage in front of everyone and perform for Singapore.”

Ms Tang, 20 – who also previously won a Special Olympics silver medal in Dancesport, is excited to be performing at the NDP for the first time.

The journey has not been without challenges, but she is determined to overcome them and present the best performance that she can, come 9 August.

“It was challenging but exciting to learn the choreography for my part and combine it with the other dancers, but I managed to overcome it by helping each other,” she said.

The final Chapter 6: Go Beyond Together starts with short documentary film Roar! that explores the spirit of Singapore’s sporting community.

Sixty-one coaches and athletes take to the stage, embodying the nation’s drive to go beyond as one.

Ariana (second from left) shares that she is looking forward to meeting the President! The singing family comprises (from left to right): Ms Noriza, Ezra and Mrs Taylor.

Noriza Binte Mohamed Salleh and her family are part of The People’s Choir – the 67-year-old grandmother will be performing together with her daughter Shirin Hushairi Taylor and grandchildren Ariana Maya Taylor, 11, and Ezra Alba Taylor, 9!

Being part of a multi-generation performing family is a dream come true for Ms Noriza, who’s can’t wait to perform a stadium full of people on National Day.

“I’m most looking forward to the vibes and atmosphere of the actual day, seeing everybody come together and sing along, I think that will be one of the best experiences in my life.”
