S'PORE, INDIA INK AIR FORCE TRAINING PACT

The agreement was signed by Singapore's Permanent Secretary (Defence) Chiang Chie Foo and India's Defence Secretary Vijay Singh.
The RSAF and the IAF have conducted four bilateral exercises since the first one in Gwalior in October 2004.
The most recent exercise was held in Singapore for the first time in December 2006.
Mr Chiang, who is in India for a two-day visit, also co-chaired the fourth Singapore-India Defence Policy Dialogue with Mr Singh.
Established in October 2003, the defence policy talks serve as a forum to oversee bilateral defence ties.
While in India, Mr Chiang will call on Indian Defence Minister A K Antony, and meet the Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Sureesh Mehta, and the other two service chiefs.
