The United States Secretary of the Air Force Michael Wynne is visiting Singapore from 10 to 11 Oct.

During his visit, he called on Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean.

He also met Permanent Secretary (Defence) Chiang Chie Foo, Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Desmond Kuek, and Chief of Air Force Major-General Ng Chee Khern.

Mr Wynne's visit reflects the excellent bilateral defence relationship between Singapore and the US.

The Republic of Singapore Air Force and the US Air Force interact through bilateral and multilateral exercises, professional exchanges and other activities.

Such interactions have enhanced interoperability between the two air forces, and the professionalism of their personnel.
