SINGAPORE, MALAYSIAN ARMED FORCES HOLD JOINT EXERCISE

The Singapore Armed Forces and the Malaysian Armed Forces have concluded Exercise Semangat Bersatu.
This joint infantry exercise, the 14th in a series of bilateral exercises held annually, was conducted from 4 to 13 May. It involved soldiers from the 3rd Battalion, Singapore Infantry Regiment and the 10th Royal Malay Regiment.
Chief of Army Major-General Neo Kian Hong and his Malaysian counterpart General Tan Sri Datuk Muhammad Ismail bin Haji Jamaluddin jointly officiated at the exercise s closing ceremony in Felda Keratong, Pahang.
The Semangat Bersatu exercise series began in 1989, and underscores both countries' long-standing defence ties. These exercises provide an excellent opportunity to strengthen the professional interactions between the personnel of both armed forces.
