JC STUDENTS TAKE THE PLUNGE

As part of their junior college internship programme with the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), 25 students visited Changi Naval Base (CNB) on 28 Nov.
They toured the Republic of Singapore Navy s (RSN) frigate, RSS Formidable, where they learnt more about the capabilities of the ship.
After that, they headed for a Landing Ship Tank (LST), RSS Endurance, on a Fast Craft Utility.
To their surprise, naval divers 'intercepted' the FCU and 'treated' two students to a short ride in their speedboat.
One of the privileged two, Devathas Satianathan, described the fast ride as "amazing".
"You have to experience it yourself," said the National Junior College student. "Nothing comes close to this."
He also gave the thumbs-up to the naval NDU divers who he felt performed their task convincingly.
"Our forces should be taken seriously, they are important in protecting our country."
