VIETNAMESE VICE-MINISTER OF NATIONAL DEFENCE CALLS ON DEFENCE MINISTER

Vietnamese Vice-Minister of National Defence, Colonel-General (COL-GEN) Nguyen Huy Hieu, called on Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean at the Ministry of Defence on 29 Dec.

During his four-day visit, COL-GEN Hieu also co-chaired the inaugural Singapore-Vietnam Defence Policy Dialogue with Permanent Secretary (Defence) Chiang Chie Foo.

The annual dialogue, which serves as a forum to advance the warm and growing bilateral defence relationship between Singapore and Vietnam, allowed both sides to exchange views on regional security issues and areas of defence cooperation.

While in Singapore, COL-GEN Hieu also visited the Headquarters, 2nd People's Defence Force and the Army Museum.
