THAI PERMANENT SECRETARY FOR DEFENCE CALLS ON DPM TEO

Thailand's Permanent Secretary for Defence, General (GEN) Apichart Penkitti, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean at the Ministry of Defence on 29 May.
GEN Apichart, who is on an introductory visit to Singapore from 28 to 30 May, also called on Permanent Secretary for Defence Chiang Chie Foo and visited the Headquarters, Army Combat Engineers Group.
GEN Apichart's visit underscores the longstanding and close defence ties between Singapore and Thailand.
The Singapore Armed Forces and the Royal Thai Armed Forces interact regularly through a wide range of activities such as visits, exercises, professional exchanges and courses. These interactions serve to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the personnel of the two armed forces.
