PHILIPPINE CHIEF OF ARMY CALLS ON MINISTER FOR DEFENCE

Lieutenant-General Hermogenes C. Esperon, Commanding General of the Philippine Army, called on Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean today as part of his introductory visit to Singapore from 19 to 21 Jun.
Lieutenant-General Esperon is here at the invitation of Chief of Army Major-General Desmond Kuek.
Earlier today, Lieutenant-General Esperon also called on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Ng Yat Chung.
Lieutenant-General Esperon's visit highlighted the warm and friendly defence relations between both countries.
Apart from visits, the SAF and the Philippine Army also interact regularly through courses and other professional exchanges.
