INDONESIAN NAVY CHIEF VISITS SINGAPORE

The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy, Admiral (ADM) Sumardjono, called on Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean on 3 Jan.
ADM Sumardjono, who is in Singapore for a three-day introductory visit from 2 to 4 Jan, also called on Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Desmond Kuek and Chief of Navy Rear-Admiral Chew Men Leong.
While in Singapore, ADM Sumardjono will also visit Changi Naval Base.
The navies of Singapore and Indonesia interact extensively through a range of visits, exercises and other exchanges. These activities have enhanced the professionalism of both navies and strengthened the camaraderie between their personnel.
