The French Under-Secretary of Defence for Policy, Mr Michel Miraillet, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Teo Chee Hean at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) on 21 Apr.

Earlier in the day, Mr Miraillet co-chaired the 10th Singapore-France Defence Policy Dialogue with Permanent Secretary (Defence) Chiang Chie Foo. The policy dialogues are a regular platform for both countries to discuss defence cooperation and security issues of mutual interest.

Mr Miraillet, who is in Singapore from 20 to 22 Apr, also visited the Changi Naval Base.

His visit underscores the good defence relations between Singapore and France. The multi-faceted ties include regular high-level defence visits, joint military exercises, defence technology cooperation, and attendance of each other's military courses.
