The skies above Changi Exhibition Centre roared to life on 3 Feb as the Singapore Airshow 2026 opened its doors to air forces, defence companies and aviation leaders from around the globe.

Now into its 10th edition, the biennial airshow marks a major milestone this year with the biggest edition yet, bringing together more than 1,000 companies and over 50 countries and regions.

This year’s Airshow runs from 3 to 8 Feb.

Power and precision in the skies

No airshow is complete without flying displays – high-speed passes, formation flights and dramatic climbs that leave audiences breathless and in awe.

This year’s line-up features eight aerial displays by six air forces, including the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s (RSAF’s) Integrated Display Team, the Indian Air Force’s Sarang helicopter display team, the Indonesian Air Force’s Jupiter Aerobatic Team, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force’s Bayi aerobatic team, and the Royal Malaysian Air Force’s (RMAF’s) Sukhoi Su-30MKM.

Also making its Singapore Airshow debut is the Royal Australian Air Force’s (RAAF’s) F-35A Lighting II.

Fun fact: did you know that the name “Sarang” is Sanskrit for “Peacock,” India’s national bird? That’s why the helicopters feature bright red and white livery with peacock style elements.

A milestone year

Since its debut in 2006, the Singapore Airshow has grown into a key meeting point for defence and aerospace industry experts, especially those in the Asia-Pacific region.

While the event spans commercial aviation and technology, defence remains a central pillar.

The display showcases 10 RSAF assets, such as the F-15SG and F-16C fighter jets, Orbiter 4 and Hermes 900 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), an AH-64D Apache attack helicopter, and a Surface-to-Air PYthon-5 and DERby (SPYDER) air defence system.
